Helping Those in need

Ministry does not supersede evangelism but will always be part of a kingdom-focused church. Christian compassion demands that we minister to everyone regardless of race, religion, abilities, or circumstances. We must meet needs not as we see fit but in response to Jesus’ teaching and example. As Jesus reminded His disciples in Mark 14:7, “You always have the poor with you, and you can do good for them whenever you want, but you do not always have Me.” You and I must always be willing to minister to the poor by using the resources God provides. Human need around the world is so staggering that our own resources alone will never be enough to meet them. As God expects us to minister, He gives us the power and the means to do so. In fact, we have to minister in order to be good stewards of the faith and abilities God has given us.

Are you using the resources God has given us to help those in need?
