Trust Jesus To Speak Through You

Do you ever feel like you are wasting your time when witnessing for Christ? Sometimes you feel that no matter what you say people don’t listen. Try letting Christ work through you and depend on Him to do the work. When we go on our own power it doesn’t work. It’s only the power of Christ that works through you that delivers. Let God do the work for you.

Exodus 4:1-9

1 And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The Lord hath not appeared unto thee.

2 And the Lord said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.

3 And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.

In these verses Moses asks the question. What if they don’t believe the Lord has appeared to me. The Lord asks Moses, What is that in thine hand? Moses replies he has a shepherd’s staff. God tells him to throw it on the ground (4:l-3b).

When Moses obeys listen to what happens (4:3c-d)?

Exodus 4:3
And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.

The Lord tells Moses he will perform this sign in Egypt so the Israelites will believe God has appeared to him. Then, God tells him to pick it up by the tail. When he does, it becomes a staff again.

Let’s read on 3:4-9
4 And the Lord said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:

5 That they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.

6 And the Lord said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.

7 And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.

8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

9 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.

(4:4-9) So in these verses God tells Moses to put his hand into his coat, and when he takes it out, it is leprous. The Lord tells him to put it back into his coat, and when he takes it out again, it is restored. The Lord also tells Moses if the Israelites do not believe him by these signs, he will perform more signs.

Ephesians 3:20 give assurance of the same awesome power when we are doing God’s will?

Ephesians 3:20
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
